University Neuroscience

University Neuroscience is one of the largest neurosurgical groups in Southeast Georgia. Its neurosurgeons are referred some of the most complex brain tumor, brain injury, spinal cord problems and aneurysm cases from across Southeast Georgia and South Carolina. 

Recognizing that spine is a specialty unto itself, University Neuroscience created a spine center of excellence called Augusta Back in 2005. Augusta Back includes the expertise of spine surgeons along with physical medicine physicians, spine therapists and spine diagnostics that emphasize a nonsurgical approach to back and neck pain.
