OUR OFFICE HOURS

We are open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

ABOUT YOUR INITIAL APPOINTMENT

For your initial appointment at Augusta Back, please arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will allow us sufficient time to complete all of the necessary paperwork.

REFERRALS & MANAGED CARE PLANS

Some health plans have specific rules you must follow in order to be seen by a specialist. If your health insurance company requires authorization from a primary care physician, remember that it is YOUR responsibility to provide us with the necessary authorization information and documents. You must have this authorization information with you during your initial appointment to be seen by the doctor.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL, BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS

As a regional center of excellence, there can be a several-day wait to see one of our physicians. Consequently, if you have to cancel an appointment, please call us as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. This enables another patient, who may be in pain, to have your time slot.

ABOUT HEALTH INSURANCE

AugustaBack accepts most insurance plans. Please call our office at 706.722.6957 to find out if your plan is accepted. If your health insurance plan requires you to pay a “co-pay” amount, you will be expected to pay that amount when you visit the doctor.

PRESCRIPTIONS & REFILLS

The use of prescription drugs is a very serious issue, and we are required to manage the process carefully. Consequently, prescriptions and refills will be issued only during office hours. Please call 48 hours in advance.
